I hope you are still doing well and surving. My wife is a 5 years survivor of stage 3a HER2 positive breast cancer, now last week she was diagnosed with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. We didnt get stages yet but i am feeling its a 3 or 4. The mass is large originating in here left lobe but spread to the rest of her liver. It looks to be about 1/3 of her total liver at this point. She has had 6 months of nausea and morning bile regurgitation, but her doctors believed it was a symptom of her hormone therapy from the breast cancer. We started with tests about 7 weeks ago. Now that we have an official diagnosis we are looking at starting chemo in 2 weeks. Unfortunately we live on Maui and our medical system is way understaffed. We were told surgury was likely not an option. After hearing your story, I am going to try to talk to the surgeons on Oahu and mention your doctor up in Cleveland. Hopefully they have more options for us. Thankyou for your struggle and more importantly advocating, educating, and sharing.

I developed fatty liver after pregnancy, I gained extra weight and that’s what caused it because I was perfectly ok before. I’m afraid of ozempic but I’m considering it. I’m also going to the gym so maybe a combination of both would speed up the process. I’m just concerned for the kidney issues reported as a side effect? Should I worry about my kidneys? As a side effect?

Hello i was diagnosed with crigler najjar type 2 and there technically has never been any dosage guide for phenobarbital and crigler najjar. All the doctors for the past 4 years have never been able to figure out the dosage. They always ignore the severe neurological symptoms by now i can barely speak or keep balance due to aphasia and gait problems. When people say they'll have a normal life its because the paitents are so fatigued and tired of it that they cant even speak up for themselves. This is a severe medical negligence issue and i hope to fix it through spreading awareness through any means necessary. This foundation was useless for me when i called, and they just told me the same things I've been hearing for the past 4 years. Just dead ends and no help.

Went to an Ayurvedic Dr after having this problem for nearly 3 years.Followed Ayurvedic diet protocols and slowly I was in recovery. I might use a diuretic once or twice a month just to keep the retention clear. So far progress has been good

I dealt with ascites for over 3 years! Towards the end I was getting drained 10 liters every week. I received a heart and liver transplant and I no longer suffer from this horrible disease! What an inspiring story! I myself, have cirrhosis and was diagnosed with the genetic defect of hemachromatosis. It is good to hear such good news in regards to the conditions we suffer due to this disease.

That is my life now but mine is due to peritoneal carcinomatosis. Every three weeks I go and have 5.6 to 6.9 liters removed. I have done this 5 times so far. Two more weeks it will be time again.
